A dating app with a memory

Everyone is visible. Nobody is buried.

Cards Up puts real people in the same room. Verified faces. No paid boosts. No algorithm deciding you are not worth showing. How you treat people is on your card, so the person on the other side has more to go on than a good photo.

The record. Same stats on every card. Nobody hides theirs. Nobody reads your messages to build it.
What you are joining

The face is real. The intent is stated. The record follows you.

You do not pay to exist.

Everyone who matches your filters shows up, most recently active first. No boost puts someone above you. No subscription buys a better chance. The app is free. Paying removes the banner ad. That is it.

How equal visibility works

Be who you say you are.

A person checks every face against a live pose challenge before the card goes live. Change the face photo and verification runs again. Every photo shows when it was uploaded. You should recognize the person who shows up.

What verification checks

Say something real.

Read the profile. Send a message. There is no match to wait for and no upgrade to buy. One message per person per day until they reply. Once they do, the conversation is open. The person on the other side can answer or pass.

How the conversation starts

You are allowed to say no.

Declining or ignoring a first message is always allowed. A reply or a polite pass counts as an answer. The record makes patterns visible. It does not require you to date anyone. False or retaliatory reporting is itself a violation. A person reviews reports alongside the records.

What the record shows, and what it does not

The way a dating app works shapes what happens on it. Here is what the structure makes room for.

What was actually done to you

The apps are not broken. They are working exactly as designed.

Invisible. The average man is buried by the algorithm on day one. He sends into silence and blames himself. He feels unwanted. Eventually he stops going out, and stops believing he is wanted anywhere.
Flooded. The average woman opens an inbox she cannot read. Real people around her stop registering as options. She cannot tell who to choose anymore. Eventually she is unsure what she actually wants.

You were not losing.
You were never in the race.

Both of you were caught in the same system. Neither of you is building anything. That is not a bug in their model. It is what the model was built to produce. Every dollar you spent trying to un-rig it was paid to the company that rigged it against you in the first place.

Three things the other apps sell you.

None of them works, because the algorithm that decides who gets seen is the problem, and none of these products touch it.

A marriage is a customer who stops opening the app.A generation that never finds each other is not a bug in their model. It is the model.

Neither of you did this. The system did it to both of you.The behaviors you were blamed for and the behaviors you were on the receiving end of are not character defects. They are what the system was designed to produce. Blame the system, not the person on the other end of it. The full picture is in the Community Standards.

Here is what Cards Up does instead.

What happens here instead

Cards Up rebuilds what modern dating destroyed.

Not through rules enforced from above. The app itself is designed so honesty feels natural instead of forced. The behaviors people blame each other for were never character defects. They were what the old apps made costless and rewarded. Change the setup and the behaviors change on their own.

01

No algorithm

You decide who to see. Set the filters for what you actually want, and everyone who matches shows up, most recently active first. No company chooses for you.

02

One message per person per day until they reply

You can write to as many different people as you want. To any one person, one opener until they respond. Then no limits. Nobody drowns. Nobody wins by volume.

03

Faces are real

A live pose challenge, reviewed by a person, re-run every six months. Every photo carries its upload date.

04

The record is public

Reply rate, chats left hanging, meets that happened. On every card, equally. Nobody hides theirs. Nobody reads your messages to build it.

05

Visibility is equal

Everyone findable. Nobody buys their way above you.

06

Money buys nothing

$4.99 removes the banner ad. That is the entire perk. No boosts, no priority, no reach.

07

Intent is declared upfront

Marriage, serious relationship, or open to casual. All visible on your card. Nobody is pushed toward any of them. But because how you actually behave is on your card too, the dishonesty that hookup culture runs on has nowhere to hide here.

Hi Maya. Your list of diners worth a detour won me over. Which one do I have to try first?
Seen just now
1 message per person per day until they reply. No pile-ups, no spam.
Ha, finally someone read the whole bio. Bar Emiliana, and you are ordering the gnocchi.
They replied. The conversation is open, no limits.
Deal. Thursday? Loser of the gnocchi debate pays.
How Cards Up makes money.

The whole app is free. A small banner ad on the browsing tabs covers the costs. If you do not want to see it, $4.99 a month removes it. That is the only paid part of Cards Up. Nothing else is for sale.

The idea, plainly

How you treat people follows you here. Just like it always did.

In real life, the people around you remembered how you treated others. If you courted someone and vanished, they knew. If you strung three people along, they knew. The record on your card is that memory, rebuilt with the only tools an app has. Nobody reads your messages. The record is what you did, never what you said.

"When identity is real and the records are visible, most people behave the way they always did when the people around them could see."

What this app makes room for

There is a life on the other side of this.

A person you can build a life with. A home. A family. These should not feel like impossible things to want. You do not need to have the rest of your life worked out before you meet someone. You do need a place where showing up, being honest, and choosing each other count for something. Cards Up was built to make that normal again.

The one dating app that goes dark the moment you find each other.

When both of you confirm you found each other, both cards go quiet. You get 7 days to close your other conversations kindly, which is the difference between leaving and disappearing. Nothing is deleted. Either of you can come back alone if it does not work out. Every other app is designed so you never reach that screen, because you leaving is the end of their revenue. Here, it is the objective. Cards Up was built to be used once.
