Terms of Service
Effective: 2026-07-24
The short version
Cards Up is for adults who want a real relationship, not an endless game. Be real, be honest about what you want, and treat the person on the other side like a person. Cards Up runs the service, but no app can promise that every stranger will behave well.
How Cards Up works
There is no paid ranking, boost, swipe score, or hidden inbox priority. Everyone who fits your filters is in the same room. Until someone replies, you may send that person one message per local calendar day. Once they reply, the conversation opens. The public record applies to everyone, including the people who run Cards Up.
How we expect people to act
Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, exploit, defraud, spam, pressure, stalk, discriminate unlawfully, post illegal content, evade blocks, or misuse another person’s information. Meet in public, control your own transportation, and call emergency services in an emergency. The app is not an emergency service.
Verification and moderation
A verified face is a signal, not a guarantee. A GPS-backed check-in proves a device was near a public venue, not that a date was safe. Reports, automated signals, and evidence may be reviewed by people. We tell you what rule was applied, and you can appeal.
What money buys
The $4.99 monthly purchase removes banner ads. That is the whole perk. Money never buys visibility, reach, boosts, or extra messages. Expressive gifts, if enabled, stay inside accepted conversations. Store billing, cancellations, and refunds follow the applicable app-store rules.
Your content and leaving
You keep ownership of what you post. We get the limited permission needed to store, display, and transmit it while Cards Up is running. Delete your account and your public identity and private files leave with it; messages and accountability history may remain pseudonymized in the other person’s conversation as explained in the Privacy Policy.
Governing law and contact
Dating involves real-world risk. Cards Up cannot verify every statement or guarantee conduct, compatibility, or safety. These Terms are governed by Delaware law, with disputes handled in Delaware courts. Nothing here removes consumer rights you hold where you live. If something is unclear, ask a person at [email protected].
