Before a card goes live, a person checks the profile face against a live pose challenge. A photograph copied from somewhere else is not enough. The account has to belong to the face you are being shown. Using someone else’s photos, impersonating another person, or presenting AI-generated or heavily altered images as real are identity violations. The Community Standards make identity fraud an immediate ban.
A badge is not permanent permission.
Change your face photo and the badge pauses while the new photo is verified. Every six months, verification runs again. People change. The person on the card should look like the person who arrives. Passing a check once does not give someone permission to replace their face with a different person later.
Every photo has a date.
Profile photos show when they were uploaded. You can see whether a photo was added this week or has been sitting there for months. An upload date tells you when a photo was added to Cards Up. It does not certify the day the photo was taken. The date and the face check give you information to judge for yourself. They are not an excuse to misrepresent what you look like.
A real face still has to behave.
Verification does not prove someone is single, honest about every part of their life, or safe to meet. A badge cannot do those jobs. Harassment is prohibited. Unsolicited explicit images mean an immediate ban. Unwanted sexual advances bring a strike with escalating restrictions. Reports are reviewed by a person alongside the records, and enforcement notices name the behavior and the rule. A verified face does not get an exemption.
Your verification selfie stays private.
Other members see your published profile and verification status. They do not see your private verification selfie or exact coordinates. The Privacy Policy explains what is collected and how it is used. Cards Up is accepting waitlist registrations ahead of launch. Join with your email, confirm it, and we will tell you when the doors open. No profile or verification selfie is required for the waitlist.
